KING SALMAN PARK

King Salman Park: Royal Arts Complex

King Salman Park holds the prestigious title of being the largest public park in the world, covering an area of over 16 million square meters.

Within the Park, the Royal Arts Complex National Theater has an aesthetically modern architecture forming a complex 3D skew. The canopy is composed of standing seam roofing, aluminum cladding, a perforated metal ceiling, and a triangular shaped skylight with glazed panels.

King Salman Park, which is proudly one of the Saudi Vision 2030 projects, serves as the heart of culture, arts, nature, and wellness in Riyadh, featuring activity and entertainment centers, commercial enterprises and institutions, and vast spaces of greenery.

In addition to our design work, modeling, and calculations, the BIM professionals at FEABS will accomplish the required conversion between several 3D engineering software tools to unwrap, unfold, and develop the twisted panels of the canopy. Due to the geometric 3D distortion of the panel architecture, these steps are crucial for the facade production process.

The items covered in this project by FEABS are:

  • Twisted roof panels
  • Twisted ceiling panels
  • Standing seam roofing
  • Aluminum cladding
  • Perforated metal ceiling
  • Glazed skylight panels

Our services for each of the above items falling under our scope of work include:

  • Revit BIM
  • Modeling coordination using BIM360
  • Structural calculations
  • Mockup drawings
  • Fabrication drawings
  • Material take off
  • As-built documentation
